Marie-Josèphe Jude (piano)

Marie-Josèphe-Jude-piano-Eric-Manas HR.jpg

Marie-Josèphe Jude, from Nice, just like David Bismuth, is once again a great performer who, in spite of Randstadian Master Pianist series, is new in the Netherlands. She is a former student of the great Aldo Ciccolini. In contemporary music she was initiated by composer pianist Maurice Ohana, of whom she plays surprising Etudes in the first half of the program alternating with those of Debussy, a lesser known aspect of his work. The Sonata by Henri Dutilleux is a truly magisterial, astonishing synthesis of the great sonata tradition and new harmonic achievements.
