Nikolaas Kende (piano)

Nikolaas Kende is called 'poet to the fingertips', raised in Antwerp as the son of the well-known Hungarian pianist Levente Kende and his fold and duo partner Heidi Hendrickx. He himself forms a much-vaunted duo with violinist Jolente De Maeyer. Beethoven's Waldstein requires not only poetry but also complete technical control, it is one of his most difficult sonatas. In his so-called Gastein Sonata, Schubert evokes the vast landscape of the Alps.
