Hawijch Elders (viool)
Dutch Classical Talent

Hawijch Elders brings an ode to the virtuoso violin frmo the Baroque, via the Romance and the neo-classical periods to the present. On stage, only with a violin and the music of violingigants, that takes strenght, courage and character.
And to think that the former concertmaster of the Dutch Youth String Orchestra has already won the Second price, as well as the Public's price in the finals of the Oskar Back Concours. Traditions are not to be rusted in place, but to be given new life time and time again. That is why the program also contains an assignment composition with, obviously, virtuoso fireworks.
The jury on Hawijch Elders: ‘Technically and musically sublime. What courage to challenge Violinvirtuoso Paganini like that! A disarming and story telling violinist with an impressive tone. She can easily fill an entire hall by her self.’

The talent trajectory Dutch Classical Talent, is a known concept in the Dutch classical music world. Under the laureates of Dutch Classical Talent there are several known names, such as: Tania Kross, Lavinia Meijer, Nora Fischer, Van Baerle Trio and the Berlage Saxophone Quartet. Through auditions, a jury chooses four top talents. These four young musicians will develop themselves through a coaching program and will tour the twelve largest concerthalls in the Netherlands to make themselves known. Their programs are tantalizing, current, moving and spectatular. This year it is a varied mix, namely with a singer, a percussion duo, a pianist and a cellist. Here you can hear the crème de la crème of musicians. The musicians of the future.
