Maastricht Trombone Choir is a project from the trombone class in Conservatorium Maastricht leaded by their main teacher. In our concert you will be able to hear that these young talented musicians can create impressive group-sounds, interesting characters and differentiated colours.

All of them are currently studying or have been studying at the Conservatorium here in Maastricht with the world-famous trombonist Bart Claessens (Principal Trombone of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra). The young musicians have their roots all over the world but gathered in Maastricht to become professional musicians, and this time Lode Smeets (Principal Trombone of Philharmonie Zuidnederland) will join them to perform as a soloist the awarded piece from Steven Verhelst "Kaleidoscope". You should not miss the opportunity to be listening to the most promising trombonists playing, beside others, pieces by Alan Silvester, Giovanni Gabrieli, Vaclav Nelhybel and Steven Verhelst.
