Internationaal Conservatoria Orkest
Messiaen & Bruckner
This special collaboration project between the conservatories of Antwerp, Brussels and Maastricht offers professional students a unique opportunity and challenge to come into contact with the larger orchestral repertoire. From the hand of composer Messiaen you will hear the impressive L'Ascension, followed by Bruckner's magisterial 7th Symphony after the break, all under the direction of the German conductor Roland Boër.
He worked as a solo editor at Deutschen Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf and was active as assistant conductor of Antonio Pappano at the Bayreuther Festspiele, the Munt Theater in Brussels and at the Royal Opera House in London. Roland Boër was Kapellmeister at the Frankfurt Opera from 2002 to 2008. In 2009 he was given the musical direction of Cantière Internazionale di Montepulciano and since 2015 has also been appointed as artistic director.
