As specialist of early Italian polyphony, laReverdie continuously knows how to surprise. This time, the ensemble arrives with the imminent company of organetto player Christophe Deslignes. With music from three Trecento-codices they take a closer look at the relation between the senses and emotions. Does the eye reign, when it comes to love, or is it the heart? The 14th century tonal poet Francesco Landini asks himself this very question in ballads full of rhythmic ingenuity and genious vocalpaly.
