Cold and dark are the December nights. What could be more comfortable than to surround yourself with dear friends, warmth and good company.

Especially for oyu, our British lead conductor Duncan Ward chse Elgar's Enigma variations for this Christmas concert. In this puzzling, humoristic and moving musical piece, Elgar portrayed fourteen of his best friends. The touching Nimrod, the barking dog of Sinclair and that one nameless friend, they are all there.

And then there is the talented violinst Simone Lamsma. With the sweet melancholy and virtuoso flames of Tchaikovsky's Violin concerto, she adds the necessary sparkle and shine to this dreamy Christmas program.
