The pianoconcerto is composed in the ‘heroic tone’ of E major. This enlightening tonality gives a clear view of triumph in Beethoven. Symphony nr. 3 is known as ‘Heroic’. According to many, this is the best symphony in the world. For Miquel Rodrigo it shows that heroics are none other than man's ability to fight, conquer complicated situations and press on.
