Tilt and Crosspath Theatre presents
John Agard: Roll Over Atlantic
Join Caribbean-British poet John Agard in a new performance that offers a quirky re-visioning of the notorious New World Enterprise of Christopher Columbus.
His ʻaccidental discoveryʼ of the so-called new world helped kickstart globalisation. This theatrical one-man show is a voyage in verse, mixing the tides of cabaret and calypso with mischievous satirical wit. It is performed against an evocative soundscape of Atlantic murmurings, with Agard variously taking on the voices of Columbus, The Atlantic Ocean and a chorus of politically conscious mosquitoes.
