Toneelgroep Maastricht

Toneelgroep Maastricht is one of the large national theatre companies of the Netherlands, the city theatre company of Maastricht and an in house theatre company of Theater aan het Vrijthof. 

We create theatre performances about people and themes, in which five core values are important: recognizability, vulnerability, humanity, peronsonality and Limburgian. Since januari of 2015 the theatre company is led by Servé Hermans and Michel Sluysmans. Under their lead, Toneelgroep Maastricht has anchored itself in Limburg and from there is looking out at the world. 

Since 2021, actress and director Jouman Fattal also forms a part of the artistic team of Toneelgroep Maastricht. She develops her own performances under the wings of the theatre company and performs in projects by Hermans and Sluysmans.

Toneelgroep Maastricht creates both large travelling performances for theatres, as well as smaller performances for the Bordenhal and other black box theatres. Famous theatre performances from the world's repertoire are switched up with newly written performances.
