FESTIVALS
At various special locations in the city, from Vrijthof to Plein 1992 and from Bureau Europa to AINSI theatre, Theater aan het Vrijthof and her partners organise several large and small festivals every year. Theater aan het Vrijthof is festival partner of Musica Sacra Maastricht and Nederlandse Dansdagen, among others. A three-day festival based on a theme that changes every year. The theme for the 2025 festival is heilige huisjes (sacred houses). The upcoming edition will feature music about untouchable, inviolable physical or spiritual places, as well as music that questions these concepts.
