OXYGEN

OXYGEN is Limburg's first urban dance company, founded by the young Maastricht dancer and choreographer Jennifer Romen. After performances on national and international television programmes such as Dance Dance Dance, Got Talent and World of Dance, the company made a successful transition to the theatre in 2023 with the performance DELUSION. DELUSION II will follow in the 2025-2026 theatre season.

At the beginning of 2024, both OXYGEN and OXYGEN Academy of Dance temporarily moved into Theater aan het Vrijthof as artists-in-residence. The dance company will use the spaces on Statenstraat for two years, until 31 December 2025. This will ensure that the spaces are used optimally until the start of construction of the new Middenzaal.

Theater aan het Vrijthof is delighted with this new collaboration and warmly welcomes OXYGEN to its home. "OXYGEN is a unique, young company that performs at a world-class level.
