Theater aan het Vrijthof is located in the heart of the city and at the centre of society. We believe it is important to make theatre accessible to everyone.
theatre without barriers
We collaborate with various cultural and social organisations to ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy all the wonderful things our theatre has to offer. We welcome visitors from all neighbourhoods in Maastricht with the Wijkjury, we reach out to our international visitors with the Expat Centre Maastricht Region, we organise a wonderful evening out for people aged 65 and over with Stichting Vier het Leven, and people with smaller budgets can enjoy a visit to the theatre with Stichting Quiet Community, Stichting Nao Veure and Samen voor Maastricht. Starting in the 2024-2025 theatre season, we will be joining forces with Stichting Komt Het Zien! to give visitors with visual impairments an unforgettable evening as well.
Theater Onbegrensd
It may seem impossible to reach everyone in society. Yet that remains our mission. In the Theater Onbegrensd series, we shine a spotlight on underrepresented or lesser-known stories and learn to understand ourselves and each other better. We programme a wide range of performances that highlight social themes, inspiring inspiration and (self)reflection, dialogue and discussion. Theatre connects people.
