Accessibility

As a theatre, we ensure that we are as accessible as possible.

Wheelchair accessibility

Theater aan het Vrijthof has excellent facilities for visitors with health conditions or impairments. All theatre halls in Theater aan het Vrijthof and AINSI theatre are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair spaces can only be reserved by telephone or at the UITbalie (box office). Due to the number of available wheelchair spaces, you may be asked for the measurements of your wheelchair. Please contact the UITbalie for assistance with ordering tickets. For more information about wheelchair accessibility at other locations, please contact the UITbalie.

You are welcome to bring a companion to the performance free of charge upon presentation of the official OV-Begeleiderskaart. This also applies if you are unable to visit the theatre independently for other reasons and are in possession of an OV-Begeleiderskaart. Please contact the UITbalie for more information.

Deaf & hard of hearing

Special hearing equipment is available for all performances in the Papyruszaal. The equipment can be used free of charge and is available at the UITbalie (box office) before the performance.

Blind & visually impaired

For a number of performances we provide live audio description via a headset and a special meet & feel introduction with a blind interpreter, together with Stichting Komt Het Zien! If a performance has live audio description, you can find more information on the performance's web page.
