Channa Malkin has conquered the hearts of many music lovers with her performance at the Grachtenfestival. Izhar Elias received the prestigious Dutch Music Prize. Together they bring a compelling program of songs and instrumental works of Spanish origin.

They have a reputation for making narrative music. The canciones populares by Manuel de Falla, the poignant La maja dolorosa by Enrique Granados and the lesser known canciones by Frederico Garciá Lorca and Graciano Tarragó lend themselves perfectly to this. The recital is interspersed with compositions for guitar solo by Isaac Albéniz, Frederico Moreno Torroba and de Falla.
