Maastricht's own jazz club: The Pop-up Jazzclub. A unique place where jazz musicians and listeners meet for an intimate musical experience. Once a month, Jazz Maastricht, in collaboration with Theater aan het Vrijthof, transforms the foyer and theatre hall of Kumulus into a real jazz club. 

Yumi Ito is considered one of the most prominent artists in the field of vocal improvisation in contemporary jazz. As a singer, pianist and composer, she combines musical versatility with technical brilliance.

The award-winning artist, who lives in Basel, Switzerland, has Polish-Japanese roots and has toured all continents, sharing the stage with artists such as Al Jarreau, Becca Stevens and Mark Turner. In 2024, she was selected for an impressive showcase at jazzahead! in Bremen, which accelerated her career.

With her inspiring quartet, Yumi weaves personal stories and blends neoclassical, art-pop and jazz influences into beautiful, powerful musical monuments.
