Anna Mikhailova (piano)

Anna Mikhailova studied music professionally in Moscow from the age of five and won several international competitions in France and Italy. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate programme at Conservatorium Maastricht. Her extensive repertoire includes works from various eras and styles: from Baroque, through Classicism, Romanticism and Impressionism to contemporary music.

During this concert, Mikhailova will perform works by the great names of Romanticism and Impressionism: Chopin, Rachmaninov, Debussy and Ravel. These composers were themselves highly gifted pianists and therefore created works whose interpretation requires enormous virtuosity. At the same time, they demand great refinement of sound and expression. That is precisely what Mikhailova brings together in this recital.
