Muom Overtone Singing Choir

Every sound, including the human voice, contains a spectrum of timbres. The vocal artists of the Muom Overtone Singing Choir from Barcelona know this better than anyone. They draw their knowledge of the sound spectrum of the human voice from singing cultures around the world: from Siberia to Tibet, from Corsica to South Africa.
Using various overtone singing techniques, they make their voices hum, whisper and whistle – and together they create vocal textures full of mysterious harmonies. Wherever they sing, in the open air or in a sacred indoor space, a mysterious arc of timbres is created that resonates in the soul and serves as a roof of sound under which to shelter together.
