Nederlands Studenten Orkest (NSO)

The Nederlands Studenten Orkest (NSO) is a young and national projectorchestra, founded in 1952, that is reconstituted every year from 105 talented students who, in addition to their studies at a college or university, are engaged in classical music at a high level.

In February, the selected students stop their studies to dedicate themselves completely to music for a month: after an intensive rehearsal period, the orchestra goes on a tour of the ten major Dutch concert stages and also visits several foreign venues. This year the orchestra will play Bruckner's seventh symphony under the baton of Jurjen Hempel.

1 month, 105 students, 13 concerts!

The NSO concerts are known for their professional quality and for the sparkling atmosphere the students convey.
