Triple Vision
Kalpanarts

With Triple Vision, choreographer Kalpana Raghuraman performs three unique pieces: a remake of two duets (Tara and Fluid) and a brand new solo (Whisper).
Each work explores themes of tradition and modernity, personal and social stories, and the dynamics between culture and identity. Whisper shows the personal struggle to be taken seriously within the medical care system. Tara explores the cosmic attraction between dance and music, combining Indian classical dance forms and powerful rock sounds. And Fluid challenges the boundaries of masculinity by fusing the energetic movements of breakdance with the emotional depth of Indian vocals. The triptych shows what Kalpanarts stands for: bringing together different styles and disciplines while placing Indian culture in a contemporary context.
