About AINSI theatre
The letters AINSI symbolise the mission of AINSI: Art-Industry-Nature-Society-Innovation.
As a multidisciplinary building, the former industrial complex near the Meuse serves as a gathering place for the creative industry in Maastricht and the surrounding region.
The packaging buildings were designed by architect Peutz and are partly constructed using half-timbered concrete and brick. The third floor of the concrete building dates from the 1950s. At the end of 2005, the RCE (Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands) classified the buildings as worthy of national monument status. AINSI is located at the foot of St. Pietersberg and on the banks of the Meuse, about a 10-minute bike ride from the centre of Maastricht.
