Antigone verklankt

Salome Kammer & Daan Vandewalle

Antigone is one of the seven preserved Greek tragedies by Sophocles. Bertolt Brecht remade it 2,400 years later in a translation of Hölderlin, with Kreon as a nazi. Additionally he wrote a monologe – Antigone-Legend – composed by Frederic Rzewski as a monodrama of an hour, for soprano and piano. Pianist Daan Vandewalle was a coworker and a friend to Rzewski. Singer Salome Kammer became famous as an actress as Clarissa Lichtblau in the show Die zweite Helmat by her husband Edgar Reitz.
