The members of Dokwerk Saxophone Quartet come from all corners of the world. The same applies to the music, of which this program is a sample. We will hear arrangements of music for string quartet by Philip Glass (USA) and Wim Henderickx (Belgium). The program also includes 7 Capricci by German composer Jörg Widmann. The finale is A Shimmering Light by the young composer Ramin Amin Tafreshi. No man is an island is the title of this cosmopolitan program. “In the hustle and bustle of modern life, we are constantly drawn outward, toward expectations and the noise of the world.
