Grote buiging voor Schubert
Philzuid

Franz Schubert's music is warm, expressive and often imbued with a subtle melancholy. His compositions mark the transition from the classical to the romantic style. During his short life, he was often ill and lonely and lived to be only 31, he did not always get the recognition he deserved. Later, his work found a permanent place in the concert repertoire.
Top conductor Hartmut Haenchen and Philzuid present an evening-long tribute to Schubert. A starring role is reserved for his Ninth ‘Great’ Symphony, in which he shapes his musical ideas with conviction. Baritone Thomas Oliemans, one of today's most acclaimed Schubert interpreters, is the dream soloist for Schubert's most beautiful songs in extraordinary orchestral arrangements.
