Choreographer Anne Suurendonk received the Nederlandse Dansdagen Maastricht Innovation Award last year, an important incentive prize that led to her new performance Emo.

In Emo, Suurendonk explores the emotional world of women. In a society where social codes often restrict women from explicitly expressing their emotions, she asks: what happens when we let go of those social norms? The answer is a space where emotions can be fully felt and shared.
