Manuel Liñán is a Spanish dancer and choreographer who draws on traditional flamenco but develops it into contemporary dance forms. In Muerta de Amor, he explores the human need for connection and physical closeness.
Twelve artists take the audience on a compelling journey characterized by copla, a traditional Spanish musical style. They move through different atmospheres: desire, fantasy, provocation... Needs that arise from within, from the body, that sustain human life energy. Liñán's work demonstrates absolute mastery of the stage and the ability to create new paradigms. He creates a solid fabric in which vocals, guitar, and dance are the protagonists.
