The international theater hit Marlene is coming to the Netherlands. A dazzling musical theatre piece featuring Sven Ratzke in the role of legendary Marlene Dietrich: film goddess full of mystery and glamour, who enjoyed a career as a chansonnière and, during the last years of her life, preferred isolation, completely withdrawn in her Parisian flat.

It is the 3rd of November 1960. Marlene is back in Berlin. She’s in the dressing room. Outside, the crowd chants "Go home Marlene!" and "Traitor!". Inside, the diva prepares herself for her first show since the war. A journey through the life of one of the 21st century's greatest icons follows. An insight into madness, showbiz, her memories full of nostalgia and longing. With as highlight: the concert as she gave it then, in 1960's Berlin.

Marlene is a performance about fame and mystification and gives an insight into the soul of a world-famous legend. Infused with beautiful music and dressed by master couturiers Viktor & Rolf, Marlene balances between grand theatre and an intimate one-woman show, full of vile humour and big emotions.
