An innovative, swinging and up-to-date performance of the Messiah. The versatile Boi Akih performs their very own version  of Händel's Messiah. For this occasion, singer Monica Akihary and guitarist-composer Niels Brouwer collaborate with viola player Saskia Meijs and kora player Sekou Dioubate.

Boi Akih brings their own version of Georg Friedrich Händel's famous oratorio with an uncommon line-up of seven-string guitar, viola, 35-string kora and vocals. The idiosyncratic combination of these stringed instruments forms a wonderful whole on which Monica Akihary, with her flexible and warm voice, adds new eloquence to the classical lyrics.
