Ordering tickets
How can I order tickets?
Pay the correct price for your tickets. Only purchase tickets on our theatre website, via the UITbalie, or on the artist's or organiser's website. More information can be found at weetwaarjekoopt.nl.
Can I order tickets by telephone?
You can order tickets by telephone during the opening hours of the UITbalie. You will then receive a payment link by email to confirm your order. This payment link is valid for 10 days. If you have not paid after 7 days, you will receive a reminder by email.
Can I order tickets for multiple performances via the website?
That is possible. After ordering tickets for a performance, you can click on the 'Continue shopping' button in step two of the ordering process 'Payment and delivery method'. Tickets for other performances will be automatically added to your order.
Can I order tickets with a discount?
We offer discounts for students, visitors under the age of 30, and groups. More information about these discounts can be found here.
Ordering children's tickets
How do I know if a performance is suitable for my child?
All family and youth performances have an age recommendation listed after the title of the performance. We ask that you to respect this recommendation for the enjoyment and comfort of your child, yourself, and other audience members.
How do I order tickets at the children's price?
Go to the relevant performance, click on 'Tickets' and select (if possible) the desired seats in the theatre hall. Then choose the “type” of tickets: 'Regular' for adults and 'Child' for children.
Up to what age does the children's price apply?
For children up to 14 years of age, we offer a children's price for family and youth performances. This price varies per performance.
I forgot to select the children's price. What should I do?
If you have not yet completed and paid for your order, you can return to step one of the ordering process: 'Tickets and seat selection'. Remove the seat with the incorrect price type and then reselect the seat with the correct price type (Child).
If you have completed and paid for your order, the price type cannot be changed online. In this case, please contact the UITbalie to change the tickets.
Waiting list
I have registered for the waiting list for a performance. What now?
If a performance is sold out, you can register on a waiting list. If tickets become available for a sold-out performance, we will contact the people on the waiting list in order of registration. Are you next on the waiting list? Then you will receive an email from us with a payment link that is valid for 24 hours. Complete the payment via the payment link and you will receive your tickets immediately by email. If you are no longer interested in the tickets, please let us know by telephone or email. After 24 hours, the payment link will expire and the next person on the waiting list will be contacted.
If tickets become available within 48 hours of the start of a performance, those on the waiting list will no longer be contacted. The available tickets will then be sold in the normal way, via the website or the UITbalie.
Ticket delivery
How can I receive my tickets?
There are three ways to receive tickets: e-tickets, by post or at the UITbalie. During step two, 'Payment and delivery method', select your preferred delivery method online (e-tickets, tickets by post or collection at the box office).
How will I receive my e-tickets?
E-tickets can be downloaded immediately after completing your order and will be sent to you by email. There are no transaction fees for e-tickets.
How will I receive my tickets by post?
Tickets will be sent to you by post within 8 business days. Regardless of the number of seats, you pay a one-off transaction fee of €3. Is the performance taking place within 7 days? Then it is no longer possible to send tickets by post. In this case, you can choose to 'collect tickets at the box office'. The tickets will be ready for you at the UITbalie on the day of the performance. There are no additional costs for this.
Where can I collect my tickets?
Tickets for performances and concerts at Theater aan het Vrijthof can be collected from the UITbalie during regular opening hours before the start of the performance. Tickets for performances at other venues can be collected from the UITbalie at Theater aan het Vrijthof until the day before the performance. If you wish to collect your tickets at the venue, you can do so from 45 minutes before the start of the performance.
Why do I need to provide my address details?
Your address details are only required if you choose to receive your tickets by post. In all other cases, filling in your address details is optional.
I have lost/forgotten my tickets. What should I do?
If you have an online account with Theater aan het Vrijthof, you can view and re-download all tickets here. It is also possible to request a copy of your tickets at the UITbalie.
